The Point Roberts Arts and Music Festival has been rescheduled for the Labor Day weekend “for logistical reasons,” said organizers.
The festival is relocating to the marina this year, after years at Lighthouse Marine Park. The festival will also have an additional stage, a wine and beer garden and a talent search, as well as extended hours. “We are partnering with the marina to grow this event together,” said vendor coordinator Gail Pueyo.
The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the talent search finale at 6 p.m. on the main stage. Contestants can get more information and register at
stars@pointrobertsmarina.com.
With the Arts and Music Festival vacating its usual B.C. Day long weekend spot, organizers of the Saturday morning Community Market will have extended hours that weekend to welcome vendors already planning to be on the Point. The market will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31 on the east side of the community center. Organizers are hoping to draw in more vendors, performers and licensed food vendors to add to the festive atmosphere.
