Several months ago, the board of trustees announced Circle of Care’s intention to establish a care center. This would be a facility where folks in need could be cared for, whether for a day or for months.
Now it’s your turn to give us your thoughts, your perceived needs, wants and desires. Will it be a Circle of Care office with a community gathering space and a respite care room or an entire retirement community or something in between?
Please complete a quick 10-minute survey to let us know your thoughts. Your input is essential. The survey can be found at bit.ly/2UYuCIO.
There will also be paper copies of the survey available at the International Marketplace and the Point Roberts Library as well as during senior lunch. All responses need to be returned by the end of August.
Blackberry Pies
The Circle of Care pie ladies will be making delicious pies for pick-up on Friday, September 3. Nine-inch crumble topped pies are $20 and five-inch mini-pies are $8. Your order must be received by noon, Wednesday, September 1.

Advanced Directive Workshops
Circle of Care is again offering advanced directives workshops. The next session will be held in the meeting room at the library and will be facilitated by board president, Galen Wood. Watch the ePB and other social media for dates and times of upcoming workshops.
Point Roberts Apple Harvest Festival
Circle of Care will again sponsor the Point Roberts Apple Harvest Festival, Friday through Sunday, September 24-26. As always, there will be apple pressing with a beautiful, handmade electric press.
The Benson Road Gardeners will show you and your family how to turn apples into nutritious juice. There will be an apple-themed bake sale and another pie ladies apple pie sale. Circle of Care is also interested in booking music, food, games, activities, lectures and entertainment for the all weekend event. Let us know if you want to organize an event or activity by emailing prcircleofcare@gmail.com.
