Community advisory committee to meet

The Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee will meet on Saturday, November 19. The meeting replaces their regular monthly meeting from November 8 that fell on election night.

The meeting will address several pending issues before the committee, including whether to endorse any of the traffic calming options being proposed by the county for the intersection of Tyee Drive and Benson Road and that of Marine Drive and Gulf Road.

Committee chair Joel Lantz said they “would not be making any decisions or taking any votes on proposed changes to the character plan,” but would be discussing the format and scheduling of a meeting for community review of the draft plan.
