The Point Roberts Makers Guild is currently hosting its first monthly artists showcase. The exhibition is free, running through Sept. 13 and features the work of Sarah Rosner.
Rosner is a Canadian artist working primarily in acrylic paint and charcoal. According to a press release from the Makers Guild, “she creates work that invites viewers to slow down and find the emotion and beauty hiding in ordinary moments, familiar landscapes, and the natural world.”
Rosner stated in her artist statement, “My artistic goal is to continually challenge myself by creating each new piece with greater detail and depth than the last.” She continued to say, “I believe every piece of art has the ability to tell a unique story, and allow others to connect with and relate to it. I hope my viewers can feel the emotion and liveliness in each piece that I create while also experiencing a sense of connection as well as wonder."
The showcase will be available to view during regular hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays) at 5 Mile Sq. Studio, 1385 Gulf Road.
A free fall workshop series will be taking place this fall and details, along with dates and registration, will be available on the Makers Guild website. Artists interested in showing their work at 5 Mile Sq. Studio can also reach out to the Makers Guild through their website pointrobertsmakersguild.org.
