New port of entry director visits PRCAC

Point Roberts port director George Gibson, who took over the position in April, addressed the Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee at its July 12 meeting. Gibson, who lives on the Point and knows the frustration of long lines, said he was committed to improving efficiency. That said, he asked the public to remember that officers are fulfilling an important law enforcement role, and the border gets its fair share of lawbreakers, from drug smuggling to theft of intellectual property.
