Open enrollment for Washington Apple Health plan

The Washington state Apple Health plan is open for enrollment in response to the coronavirus pandemic. While qualified applicants can apply for free or low-cost Apple Health year-round, the plan is offering two other avenues that people can use to get coverage.

Those who have had a qualifying life changing event have 60 days from that event to sign up for coverage or shop for a new plan. Qualifying life changes include things like losing job-based coverage, income changes, getting married or having a baby, or certain other changes.

If someone doesn’t qualify under the first two scenarios, they can request a Covid-19 enrollment through May 8 if they are uninsured.
