A Point Roberts student who travels to the Blaine campus on the school bus reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 early this week. According to fire chief Christopher Carleton, around 15 individuals subsequently were tested.

Tina Padilla, administrative assistant to Blaine school district superintendent Dr. Christopher Granger, said the district was notified April 18 that a student from Point Roberts had tested positive for Covid-19. She said other students on the same school bus as the student who tested positive were excluded from class and asked to quarantine but would not say how many students.

Padilla said the district would not provide any other information regarding the situation, as to protect the privacy of the student because Point Roberts is such a small community.
