Poultry from Canada prohibited

Posted

As of May 6, poultry from Canada that originates or transits through an avian control area in Canada may not enter the U.S. through land borders. An outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) is the reason for the prohibition. One such control area is just across the border from Point Roberts and covers much of Delta, Richmond and south Vancouver. The prohibition also includes hunter-sourced poultry.
