A 90th birthday bash celebrating Max Briand

The Briand family was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support shown by the Point Roberts community during Max Briand's 90th birthday celebration on Sept. 5 at the Pier restaurant. Max Briand, former owner and chef of The South Beach House restaurant, is pictured here with his daughter Tennessee, center, and his wife, Diana.

The family is looking forward to offering a South Beach House "pop up" restaurant experience, where their faithful customers will have the opportunity to taste their favorite South Beach recipes once again. They urged customers to start thinking of what menu item they'd like to see back in action.
