WCLS closes buildings to public

Posted

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) closed its buildings to the public on November 23, exactly three weeks after opening for in-person services since March.

Curbside pickup, drive-up WiFi and book drop offs will continue at the 10 library branches in the county, including the Point Roberts library at 1431 Gulf Road, according to a November 23 press release.

The decision to halt modified in-person services came after the Whatcom County Health Department advised WCLS closing the buildings would help slow the spread of Covid-19, the release states.

Library items can be reserved at wcls.org and picked up at the Library Express at the Point Robert library.

The Point Roberts library curbside pickup is open during its business hours, 1-7 p.m. Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit wcls.org/info or call the Point Roberts library at 360/945-6545.
