2025 was another exciting year for Point Roberts Dollars for Scholars (PRDFS)! Thirteen deserving students each received $1,500 scholarships to help pursue their higher education goals. We are especially proud to see one of our former recipients giving back by engaging their employer in a Gift Matching Program for U.S.-based tax-qualified organizations, further amplifying community support.
Located in a small, remote community with unique challenges – limited local jobs and a long commute to the nearest U.S. college – PRDFS plays a vital role in helping students overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams. Our scholarships, college readiness assistance, and dedicated volunteers make a real difference in the lives of local students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our financial partners who contributed $3,000 or more during the 2025 fundraising campaign:
- Whidbey Telecom
- The Helen & Jose Colton Foundation
- Giancarlo & Odette Tognetti Legacy Trust Foundation
Our 2025/2026 fundraising campaign is now underway, and we hope to continue the success of previous years. Every contribution helps support students in reaching their educational aspirations.
