Book sale to raise funds for the new library

The Friends of the Point Roberts Library (FOPRL) spring book sale will raise funds for current library programs and feature two separate fundraisers for the new library construction fund.

The book sale, on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., features thousands of books from fiction to technical manuals and dozens of other categories. As an added feature this year FOPRL volunteer Steve Martindale will take requests via email for specific books, authors or subjects at doubleplusungood@hotmail.com.

During the book sale the FOPRL will offer a bagel brunch to benefit the new library construction fund, thanks to donations from the International Marketplace and Save-On Foods. The Point Roberts Quilters will be selling raffle tickets for a 19th century crazy quilt, with proceeds also earmarked for the new library.
