A majority of Point Roberts residents over the age of 16 have now received at least one shot of a Covid-19 vaccine so far in the drive by the fire district and health clinic to vaccinate the Point to safety.

Another 60 first doses were administered on Saturday, April 17 meaning 461 people are fully vaccinated and  271 have received at least one dose. Of those fully vaccinated, 271 received the two-dose Moderna regime and 190 received the one-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Fire chief Christopher Carleton expects well over 200 people will receive their second dose this Sunday, April 25.

Covid-19 testing will take place the same day from 10 a.m. to noon with vaccinations beginning at 1 p.m. The fire district has been contacting people to schedule their second vaccination and urges individuals to be sure to answer their phones or check their messages. For more information, call the fire district at 360/945-FIRE.
