Cyclist killed in hit-and-run at Pacific Highway crossing

A 53-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident while riding his bicycle near the Pacific Highway truck crossing on January 22.

The cyclist was attempting to cross the highway diagonally at the H Street intersection when he was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the truck continued heading north after the accident. Witnesses later reported seeing a pickup truck matching the description driving west on D Street.

Three hours after the accident, 26-year-old Blaine resident Andrey Kirichkov turned himself in to state troopers.
